It has a deep, deep place in my heart. It’s a stress buster, an enjoyment tool and overall extremely satisfying. I’ve practically been doing art all my life. From the moment I could pick up a pencil or crayon, I’ve been drawing! From the age of 3 to 4, I made color drawings, random doodles, basically just weird stuff like triangle noses and dot eyes and winding roads. But at the age of 5 is when I would say my real art journey started - I got into advanced pencil sketching. I asked for more materials, and with a few references (sometimes not) I was soon drawing my favorite movie characters, objects around me, and more! Around age 6 was when I got properly into painting and pastels. Watercolor is still a favorite I continue till this day. In 2020, when devices were the new everything, I started digital art, aged 10. For quite some time, I was stuck on tracing, block shades and mandalas. It was impossible to operate any program! But slowly, I discovered more, taught myself and learnt from others online. Not much changed until the age of 11, in 2021. First, I started making realism with color pencils (which I formerly thought was impossible) and then after receiving a set of alcohol markers for my 12th birthday, I picked those up too. Little did I know that these materials would end up being added to my collection of favorites. 2021 was also the time when I seriously picked up animating. Frame-by-frame animations were what I made most of the time, sometimes sprite animations on Scratch. Apart from that (yes, I think I developed the MOST in 2021), I became familiar with vector art (and started loving it). I’ve made many pieces on Scratch. Now, I can gladly say that I’m a traditional and digital artist, as well as self-taught animator. I’ve been doing aesthetics/edits/collages/moodboards since 2018, graphic designing since 2020 and photo editing since 2021. Task 2: I got Syria! I’m doing its coat of arms. I photo-edited/filtered it a lot to make it softer and gentler. Task 4: The images represent math, happiness, shopping, sunlight, camp [AAC], restaurants, art, swimming and rain. (top to bottom, left to right). Weekly #2 Task 1: I chose to do it on ‘what if I was perpetually happy’ Task 2: The book I chose is Anne of Green Gables. I did one traditional artwork, one edit and one digital artwork. Task 3: The three things I'd never done were painting with acrylics, making empty soil like that and eerie trees. Task 4: The images represent my dream look - blue hair, green eyes, beach aesthetic and mermaid (don’t question any of it please). Weekly #3 Task 4: The images represent happiness, relaxation, sadness, evil, anger, suspense and neutral.
