I'm back with some more art made with Procreate! This is a piece that I'm really proud of. I believe it really shows my growth as an artist. All in all, I think it's one of the best art pieces I've ever made. This comic is inspired by a story I've been trying to write for years now. This is but a scene in the story and it helps me visualize the characters and how they're interacting. For any longtime followers who've been around for a while, you may recognize these characters as much better versions of Daealla and Feirdan from my "The Mirror of Eregtas" or TMoE series that I tried and failed to make a few years back, lol. If you don't recognize them, that's perfectly fine. My TMoE projects are still up if you want to compare my character designs XD But enough of that. Here's the story behind "84 Years". -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- - S T O R Y - When Feirdan awakens in the Forest of Maliarta, a faerie sanctuary in the land of Faelinn, he doesn't remember anything. His name and his memories have been stripped away, leaving him feeling very lost and alone. Feirdan is treated as an honored guest among the faeries, but can't help but feel unwelcome. He finds a friend in Daealla, a half-blood rejected by her people as a mistake. Daealla had grown up in the small, elven village of Neldorad before her grandfather, an esteemed faerie historian, had taken both her and her mother back to Faelinn. As Feirdan and Daealla get to know one another, both realize that what they want cannot be found in Faelinn, so they plan an escape. Daealla dreams of being reunited with her elven father, who's status is unknown. Feirdan wants to rediscover his past and find his life's purpose. The two escape Faelinn through a magic portal and find themselves on a wide, open plain. Feirdan is eager to ride on to Neldorad and expects Daealla to share in his excitement. Feirdan realizes that Daealla hasn't moved and he asks what's wrong. "It's been so long since I last saw him, Feirdan..." she says in a voice barely above a whisper. "How many years have you been stuck in Faelinn?" Feirdan asks, bringing his horse up next to hers. "Eighty-four..." she replies. "I have no idea if my father still lives..."
