Instructions

Missing her The one who made plans to marry you someday You two were going to live in a cottage near a lake Away from the world Away from stress Away from pain The stupid poems you wrote each other The songs you listened to while dancing under the moon And no matter what You can never get over her Because she was your everything All those messages that lit up your day The plans to give each other promise rings God, why do flowers bring back so many memories... Everything you did together You don't think you'll ever have that much joy ever again It's just painful You want to hold her hand and call her your sunflower Tell her you've never stopped loving her Never wanted to stop looking into those beautiful eyes Never would let go You would still wait for her Day and night Just for her to come back into your arms...

Description

So, this poem is a bit different than my usual ones. What I'm going for this time is to try to actually make the reader feel something, feel the words and the emotions throughout the entire poem. Therefore I switched "I" to "you", so you can really feel what I'm trying to convey here. This is part of an ongoing Talent Competition. I had fun writing this one, and another entry will soon be published. Thank you!! :))
