Silver had practiced what seemed like forever. She hoped she could make the All-Stars Trick Riders. She performed her routine flawlessly. The judges were impressed. Days passed by, and finally, her phone rang. The All-Stars manager was on the other end. He said that her "talents have been noticed", and invited her to the team. 2 months later... Silver climbed on Rebel, her trusty stunt horse. It was the first rodeo she'd ever performed in. She was a bit nervous, but it didn't show. As her name was called, Rebel spooked, throwing her off. He kicked out, and Silver felt pain course up her entire arm. She fell, hitting her head hard against the ground. Silver woke up in the hospital with a cast around her arm. She learned it would take nearly a year before she could ride again. Tears coursed down her eyes as she realized that by then, the All-Stars would have replaced her.
