Ok this is just a meme that I also forgot to post just like the animatic :D woohoo we love finals /j /s Adding onto the backstory, Luca realized from talking to Elinor how the town lives by the mercy of the gods. She tells him about the plagues, famines, and natural disasters caused by the gods for centuries. Luca talks to his father about this and realizes that it's true and that his father has been lying to him. Also, the collar is kind of Luca's father's way of controlling Luca. As you can tell, he's very manipulative and power hungry. The sun sign on the collar kinda reminds of the collector from the owl house.
