UPDATE- 1-1-17 Smores has died :( UPDATE- 1-2-17 I got a new gerbil (she's still a baby) her name is Creamsicle! I will be putting more pictures of her on here soon Some tips on getting Gerbils: 1. This was a long time ago, my gerbils ate that cage shown in the picture. NEVER get gerbils a plastic cage. The best cage decision is to get a tank (like big fish tank) and then put a wired topper on top that they can climb around in. 2. Gerbils are great escape artists, if you already have a plastic cage, you should get a new one unless you want to chase your gerbils around like I did. One gerbil somehow opened the cabinet under the sink, crawled though the tubes and got in the wall! My dad had to hammer a hole in the wall. 3. As you might see in the comments, if you're deciding between hamster, ferret or gerbil, gerbil is the only smart answer. Ferrets ca bite your finger off. Literally. Hamsters will kill other hamsters. Literally. Everything I'm writing is 100% true! 4. Some people think only rats can learn cool tricks. WRONG! In Norwegian gerbils are called ørken rotte which means desert rat. Rats are friendly and cuddly too, they're pretty much about equal to gerbils. Any questions? COMMENT
