Scrafty woke in a dark cave next to his brother. He sat up slowly looking around. Their was rocks piled at the entrance of the cave, the only light in the cave came from blocked entrance. He was confused what he was doing in this cave when his memory came flooding back. He and his brother had been walking through the forest near their yard when they had to take cover in this cave from a huge blast. The blast and also blocked them in the cave knocking them unconscious. He then scoped the cave looking for his brother. A small calico cat lied unconscious near the entrance. "Bouncepaw get up" scrafty got up and went over to his brother. "Wha" bouncepaw meowed groggily opening his eyes. Then a wave of realization washed over bounce "Oh yeah that's right we're still in this cave". "Duh" scrafty meowed annoyed looking at the rubble seeing how much their was. "Come on we need to get out of here and find mom" scrafty started pulling rocks from the entrance intell enough were removed that he could climb out of the cave. Bright light blinded his eyes as he stepped out of the cave and saw the surface. It looked normal but something was different but he didn't know what. Bouncepaw climbed out of the cave after him "what now?" He asked unsure what to do after what happened with him scrafty and their parents. "Let's go back to the village, something doesn't seem right here" they walk back through the woods following the forest path intell they reach their village. But it was empty. "Hello!" Bouncepaw called. "Shh!" Scrafty hissed but it was too late. The bushes rustled and out came.. "What the heck?!" Scrafty explained as a cat with a lions main four feet and a snake tail with glasses emerged from the undergrowth. "Wait it's me!" An old croaked voice came from the creature that scrafty recognized. As the village elder "Rue is that you?" Scrafty was shocked he looked nothing like the rue he knew. "What happened?" "Their was a disaster that caused all of us to turn into...this" the creature looked down at himself. "We all ran for cover but it was to late, and the dragon stone was Shattered and scattered around legends valley, the only way to return everyone to normal is to put the stone back together, calico the guardian or jaw bone peaks will tell you more, that's all I know" and with that rue scurried away. "That was weirdddd" bouncepaw remarked. "Come on brother" scrafty knew what lied ahead and he couldn't wait to get going "let's find the dragon shards!" They stood on a hill their village behind them and looked on at the valley and journey that lied ahead. They were ready.
