Koy hated the village. It was so loud! Dogs yelped to advertise their goods, growled while bargaining, snarled while defending themselves from accusation, and even tiny pups complained of how long they had to walk. The only good part of the village to Koy was the koi pond. Fish of so many colors swam at her paws, most matching her own scales! When she was thirteen, the queen of the village ordered for a garden to replace the koi pond. Horrified, Koy asked what would happen to her beloved koi fish. Apparently, the queen had plans to sell them. At night, Koy gathered all the koi and found a beautiful bioluminescent pond in the mountains. She set the fish free and cared for them there, never returning home. The art shows her in the village.
