Welp- I thought I'd get back into writing sometime- This is a poem for a school assignment I did- My teacher loved it, and I hope you do, too! Ode to music by Owen Beloved Open arms, To draw you in, Beating drums, Rhythmic twins. Tambourine ringing, Under a full moon’s light Grass slowly waving, To a songbird’s delight. Guitar strings singing, Music to my ears, Waves in the ocean, Wash away all my fears. Your rich melodies, That don’t follow the rules, Have so much diversity, So many shining jewels. The rhythm of the waves, That I can feel beneath my feet, Make me want to sit and stare, And sway to the beat. All caution left behind, I’ve thrown it to the wind, Oh, to swing and dance and spin around As the moon’s light begins to dim. Oh, to swing and dance and spin around, Dancing with the wind, Leaves swirling around my face, Like dancing with a friend. The music in the wind, the trees, The waves beneath my feet, The music in the crashing waves, They make me feel complete.
