ART BY THE WONDERFUL: @fourdiirtypaws Detailed personality: |[ Intense would likely be a good word to describe this young molly, as her dedication and hard-headedness can occasionally be taken too far. She’s tough, with a very strong mind in emotion and intelligence, though she struggles to comprehend the joy received from simple activities such as games or crafting. She’s assiduous, and has a keen eye for the smaller details that stand out to her, which relates to her mentality that the smallest of things can have the most importance. Solstice is very vocal with her opinions, never one to shy away from harsh information, which contributed to her intensity as she can be considered ‘blunt’ or ‘rude’ when speaking, though others opinions on her matters little to her. This is an issue, as she doesn’t really take critiques too well. She’s very aware of her own intelligence, which gives her quite the ego boost, and her will to become the best in what she does is shrouded by her thoughts that she simply doesn’t need any corrections as she is just that good. One of her weirder traits is that she adores arguments. Solstice takes great pride in her natural ability as a decent public speaker, and when there’s something she truly believes in, she’ll fight for it no matter what. The joy she receives from proving another wrong is almost immeasurable to her. She’s quite crafty with words, almost silver-tongued at times when there is something that she wants, and her determination definitely shines through as she does /not/ give up easily. Separate from these traits, Solstice is /very/ judgmental, and when I say very, I mean very. If she doesn’t like you, you will most certainly know it, and all the reasons why she doesn’t like you. She’s definitely not one to hold anything back, so each and every opinion she’s ever had of anyone will be known. A few positive traits of hers are that she’s quite brave, willing to try new things and go to extreme lengths to prove that she is right about something, or that you are wrong about something. Fear is viewed as a weakness in her eyes. Why should she be afraid if she knows she’s always right about everything? If she’s always right, she’ll know when something is too risky, at least, according to her she will. While Solstice is very judgmental, she does have a few exceptions, though they are solely for immediate family members, meaning her siblings and parents. Solstice will express her opinions to them, however, should you express similar negative opinions, she will not hesitate to lash out, as she is extremely protective and defensive of her family. In her mind, no one is allowed to judge her family members but her. Judgement is a privilege only she is allowed to have. After all, the minds of others are simply too weak to fully comprehend where her judgement is coming from. Solstice will likely have a very tight connection with her family, as she values them above most everything, however, she can occasionally form tight bonds with others outside of her family, and, as rare as this is, she grows extremely attached and clingy to whomever she’s formed a tight bond with. You are like family to her now, and will be treated at such. That being said, this likely won’t happen too frequently as Solstice isn’t the friendliest cat you’ll meet, and it takes a lot to bear her assertive personality. Another positive trait of hers is that she’s very hardworking. Solstice enjoys putting effort in all that she does, as she believes she is meant for something great, greater then what she is now, which, in her mind, is already pretty great. This molly is never one to slack, and is known to make up for her mistakes or failure to complete something almost immediately as if to save her from her own humiliation. Focusing more on emotion, Solstice’s thoughts on sadness are… concerning to say the least. If you ever see Solstice cry, it’s likely that the world is about to end, or Solstice herself is about to end, because, similar to fear, sadness is a weakness in her eyes. She simply doesn’t understand the point of being sad. It’s one of the smaller things she’s incapable of comprehending, as she views the world with a very logical standpoint. Sadness also equals distractions from work, and that’s a huge no-no in Solstice’s mind. Distractions are simply unacceptable and should be eradicated as soon as possible. So, seeing as Solstice isn’t one for sadness, does this mean she doesn’t experience it at all? Of course not, in fact, there will be countless times where events are too much for Solstice to handle, and instead of acknowledging her own sadness, she simply shoves it deep down without a second thought. Solstice does /not/ want to view herself as weak, or have any others view her as weak, so as long as she seems ok, and can convince herself that she is, everything will be ok. That is, until she can’t hold anything in anymore. And when that happens, Solstice is /awful/ to be around.
She’s snappy, rude, harsh, and cruel, with a mind clouded in sadness and fury that she wasn’t strong enough to eradicate the emotion she hates so much. It’s a little terrifying to see her in this state, and it’s also difficult to get her back to normal as it’s extremely hard to tell what’s wrong with her. In times like these, she’s known to make brash and hot-headed decisions that she will most certainly regret later. However, aside from sadness, Solstice is generally a pretty joyful molly, finding happiness in her success and ability to prove others wrong, though it isn’t the kind of joy you’d be able to see. It’s more of an internal sort of peace in which she knows she is content and happy, but she doesn’t show it entirely. This means you won’t just see her grinning from ear to ear everywhere she goes, as she generally holds a serious expression to intimidate her peers, Her eyes normally give her away though, so those who are perceptive like her should be able to tell her general mood. Another state-of-being that she experiences somewhat frequently is a sort of fiery and energetic feeling, that normally occurs within a heated argument or when trying something new that she happens to enjoy. Solstice can certainly be quite feisty and lively when doing something that she enjoys or is invested in, and it’s close to impossible to stomp her brightness out. ]|
