This is Badgerfang and his mother, Fernshade. Badgerfang was underaged apprentice who lived during Brokenstar's rule. He was sent to fight against fully trained warriors at 3 moons. His mentor (and uncle), Flintfang, was there as he took his last breath. I imagine his mother went somewhat crazy after his death, and attacked Brokenstar to avenge him. She failed and died from Brokenstar's injuries. But that's just my headcanon :P
