esmartpants presents to you... 13 proofs of the Pythagorean Theorem! ██████ RECCOMENDATIONS ██████ Use TurboWarp for better pen quality and less lag: https://turbowarp.org/675701293/fullscreen?hqpen (The bottom text will not show if you open the project in TurboWarp.) Fullscreen recommended. ████████ INSTRUCTIONS ████████ Hover the mouse over the upper-left corner to show variables. Click the arrows or use the left/right arrow keys to see the different proofs. █████████ CREDITS █████████ @MonkeyBean2 for the arrow vector art, because I am bad at vector art. @papipupepappa for the Lucida Console text font. ██████████ NOTES ██████████ The blue square will always be larger than the red square. Obviously, this doesn't have all the proofs of the Pythagorean Theorem. Many proofs have been discovered, and this will continue. Please do not say that some of the proofs are exactly the same with extra lines. Some are very similar, but they are not exact. Some other info: The first proof was originally discovered by Chinese mathematician Liu Hui in the third century A. D. The second proof is a Perigal's Dissection. I'm pretty sure the 7th and 9th proofs are hinged dissections. The 10th proof is a proof by Italian polymath Leonardo da Vinci. The 13th proof was discovered by United States President James A. Garfield. It is also the only proof in this project that is not a proof without words. April 25, 2022: I just realized proofs 2 and 6 were essentially the same thing ;-;
