Summer loved this time of night, it was truly the most beautiful place in the meadow. Summer suddenly gasped, the howling of wolves was heard in the cloak of the horizon. She started to jog the began to sprint, wolves were soon trailing, one by one, behind her. They were snapping and snarling at the feet and tail,. Suddenly she reached a dead end, she was at the foot of the mountain, Mt. Shianduo. She gulped, the wolves looked hungry. Then one wolf pushed through the crowd of wolves, he, unlike the others, had a concerned expression on his face. He winked at summer before stepping forth. " I'll take her, you'll just tear her apart before she reaches the cave. " His voice was soft and relaxed yet had a rasp of gruff. Summer looked slightly worried and stammered. " W- What are you going t- to do with me? " The wolf looked at summer. " That does not matter, just remember, you can call me Darion, we better set foot on the mountains, you lot head back. " The wolf pack headed off back where they came. Summer stared at Darion, was he really planning something devious or was he helping her? Many stories have been passed down over the years about wolves ad how they had destroyed the ancestors homes and taken their lives. Summer was nervous but decided to trust him. Once the wolves had gone, Darion turned to Summer. " Are you okay? " He said, blowing his bangs out of his eyes. " Y- yeah, don't you want to eat me? " Darion looked on, before meeting eyes with summer. " Trust me, I don't eat your species, or any animal, I'm Vegetarian. " The sky was now inky black, small stars sparkled like small lanterns above. Summer felt her heart pump, not because she was scared, but because she was slowly liking Darion. " I think you should go home. " Darion muttered, acting rather responsible. Summer nodded and started to walk back but turned her head over her shoulder. " But will I see you again? " Darion Smiled and winked. " Time will tell . . . yet I never got your name - " " Summer - Summer Nights. " Darion blushed, so did summer. " Well good bye summer. " Summer then started to walked but turned back to Darion and licked him. " Thanks for saving me, my life I mean . . . " Darion blushed more and waved in awe.
