Edit: Forgot to meantion that my headcannon for the Avians is that they're all Elytrians who lost their ability to fly. For Tommy it's his wing that got torn in an accident, for Beau she got her wings clipped (Like they do with domestic birds to keep them from flying away) when she was little because angst, and for Freddi he never developed the right nerves and muscles in his wings, so he can't move them (They're basically paralyzed).
