For non-Muslim viewers who view this project (although it's only a piece of art), let me give you a jump-start. Ramadan (raa·muh·daan) is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. We refer to the meal before dawn as suhur, after that, we do not eat or drink anything until evening iftar, that is what is known as fasting. On the last ten nights of Ramadan, we celebrate the holiest nights of which are known as "Laylat-ul-Qadr", it is variously rendered in English, on those last ten nights we do a prayer at night, where we ask for mercy, forgiveness, and blessings. After Ramadan, Muslims celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan. (this year on May 3rd) Then comes the Eid-Al-Adha festival after Ramadan spanning from July 9th - July 13th. Ramadan isn't just about fasting, Ramadan benefits you in many other ways, like practicing sacrifice, boosting your brain, ditching bad habits, and making the purification of the soul. Hope this gives you a little (or big) idea of what Ramadan is like. Ramadan Mubarak and may Allah bless your souls.
