It is FREAKING true that chick culling exists. In their first hour of life, the males and females are separated. The males are considered "worthless" to the chicken industry and are sent to their deaths. They can be shredded alive, gassed, or even burned and drowned UNIMAGINABLE to the treatment of a newborn puppy or kitten. As for the females, they are killed once they have passed their laying age. And Unfortunately, this is all LEGAL. Conclusion: Chick culling should be stopped as soon as possible and banned. Treat a chick as you would treat a puppy or kitten.
