ok ok ok so does anyone else think the Madrigal's "gifts" are more like curses??? I mean like they literally have to do all the villager's work qwq plus extra problems which in my opinion are: Abuela: her life existence. biggest problem in Encanto. (she also cares about the house more than her own family but that's more like a separate rant) Pepa: ya always hear how Abuela is like "PEPA YOUR CLOUD" I think one of the saddest parts is where she has to force herself to be happy </3 ( I wonder what happens to the weather if she makes herself emotionless :0 like would it be some sorta grey sky?) Bruno: legit too obvious xDD always predicting bad futures that he had no control over and getting blamed for it anyways <//3 (I always imagine that the fish girl has a major grudge because of Bruno's prediction xD) in result of this he's also treated as an outcast by his family (and the town lol) and for the fact that his family came up with a whole "we don't talk about Bruno" song :,0 his room is it's own separate curse too lol- think of all the stairs he has to climb just to sleep 0-0 (that's probably why he looks so sleepy- cuz he's climbing the stairs for the whole night xD) Julieta: it's a little harder to tell for her since she's always super cheerful y'know? BUT maybe that's the curse for her. Since Bruno is known as the "outcast" and Pepa is known as "moody" maybe Julieta feels like it's her responsibility to be more "happy" and "cheerful" but if we're talking about her gift itself then I'd say she has to cook ALL THE TIME instead of doing whatever she wants and has to see everyone's gross injuries *shudders* Isabela: stated in the movie that she is forced to be the "perfect" child and the fact that she was going to marry that dumb Mariano (srsly- marrying Mariano is the biggest curse there is. I feel sorry for Dolores <//3) Luisa: legit treated like a slave. like at the dinner scene Mariano's mom or whatever ordered Luisa to get the piano even tho she was eating :/ WHO DOES THAT??? ofc stated in the movie all that pressure :,0 (GIVE IT TO YOUR SISTER YOUR SISTER'S OLDERRR) even tho she has super strength it must get annoying carrying everything all. the. time. ARGHHH- I would never live doing what she does xD Mirabel: Like Bruno she's pretty much an "outcast" just not up to Bruno extreme level :p she's always been told whatever she does isn't enough and when something that goes wrong (e.g. the dinner) she's always the one getting blamed (mainly by Grumpy Face [*cough Abuela *cough*]) and ofc even tho Abuela says she's giftless we all know the truth: her gift is to freeze/slow down time when she wants to sing /j (the first time she used her powers was during "waiting on a miracle") Dolores: oh. my. god. she has the worst "gift" in my opinion. most little kids are like "omgg we can hear everythingg- ha! great blackmail material!" but in reality? Dolores can't shut down this power nor can she "lower" it. think of it this way: Dolores can hear you walking, talking, breathing, blinking, your heartbeat and a lot more. whispers sound like yells. so think of what actual yelling sounds like. think about what the casita cracking sounds like. think of how kids are made and how Dolores hears that too. there isn't a way to turn it off and while there is a possibility she learned to tone down a few things she was still able to hear Luisa's eye twitch so clearly it isn't relaxing being her. and remember Antonio's gift ceremony? Dolores was covering her ears while the fireworks came on (while Camilo beside her was making as much noise as possible lmao) fireworks are loud to /us/ but for Dolores it's probably 100x worse. [random note: there is a fanmade song for Dolores called "turn it down" by 0r3o [or smth like that] if ya wanna hear that! they even got the real Dolores VA :0] I wonder if she can hear Camilo shapeshifting or Isabela creating flowers :0 Camilo: all the Camilo fans tryna be gross /j // tbh I can't really tell lol xD I think maybe he feels a little useless since whenever he helps someone they always want him to shapeshift into someone else (that's just cruel tbh-) which might make him feel insecure about himself??? I'm legit making this up along the way xDD lot of fans say he's genderfluid but tbh I don't think so :,0 (not hating on genderfluid peeps- you're awesome and cool <333) like most peeps say he's genderfluid cuz he shapeshifts and stuff but like Camilo barely shapeshifts longer than like 5 secs so it just doesn't make sense that way :,] there are also fans saying he might have identity crisis which might be true *shrugs* (this section turned out longer than I thought lmao // T0AST, IVY, TACO, ICY & PARIE DON'T YOU DARE COMMENT ABOUT THIS SECTION I SWEAR-) [+]
[+] Antonio: he's so sweet and innocent and he doesn't seem like the type to complain <33 but in the future I think he might feel a little tired of having to hear animal voices on top of human ones and trying to figure out if he's hearing human or animal voices lol but honestly I'm guessing xD Gosh I made this so long that Scratch said the desc was too long xD oh! and here are 2 more things I just wanna write about lmao: 1) We Don't Talk About Bruno in this song where everyone started surrounding Mirabel while she was putting the vision together the order surrounding her /was/ Isabela, Fish Girl, Pepa + Felix, Camilo then Luisa BUT THEN ALL THE SUDDEN after they get cut off cuz the screen THE ORDER BECOMES Isabela, DOLORES, Pepa + Felix, Camilo then Luisa :00 LIKE WHERE DID FISH GIRL GO??? AND WHEN DID DOLORES GET HERE??? actually better question: why was fish girl in the Madrigals house in the first place??? (you can see this scene by pressing flaggo) 2) Dolores has a secret line :0 In We Don't Talk About Bruno when everyone is screaming their lines DOLORES has a SECRET LINE during that jumble jumble part (forgot specifically where during that jumble srry lol) she says "and I'm fine I'm fine I'm fine" did anyone else notice??? this tells you how much Dolores secretly struggles with and tells you she's definitely /not/ fine (whenever characters say they're fine they aren't lmao) that's really all I have to say about Encanto right now :D I'm sorry for the longest description in the world lmao Credits!
