Despite their technological advantages, the Stahlhelm Army's advance was halted at New Saigon through Vietnam's guerilla-style tactics. Fighting is now happening street by street, and neither sides can gain ground without losing it, and vice versa. A deadlock at the First Battle of New Saigon is now setting in.

Meanwhile, Stahlhelm's helicopters and tanks are becoming bogged down, and the infantry does most of the heavy lifting as the battle intensifies.
