~ My Journey Through Scratch ~ == The Beginning == I started out without an account and coded every week, making new projects (at like 5 years old)! Over that time (of about 4-5 years) I got a bit better, but I still was not as experienced as I was even three years ago, when I did create my account. When I finally did, I didn't share any projects for some time, then shared my first ever one: The Detective (Part 1) (links of projects mentioned at bottom of page) After that, more of The Detective series came out, and compared to where I am now with art and animations, looked pretty feeble. After that, I started making games, such as Player 88 and Platformer 101, to be followed by more. I did make some animations, some shared and some not. *Fun Fact* - I have a total of about 950 projects, about 250 of them are shared and 700 of them aren't shared. == Progression == Now I was finally getting the hang of Scratch. I looked through other people's projects for ideas, and my follower count went from 2 to 7. At that time, I cared about followers, because, well, I was not known by 99.9999999999999% of the scratch community. However, with my first big hit project, Lemons, I got a lot of views. It was great! After that, I started making a ton more animations, and a lot less games. Soon my follower count went to 10, 20, 25! I couldn't believe my eyes! Now only 99.9999999999998% of the community didn't know I existed! (0.0000000000000002% did) From there, I created a few games, but my spotlight were the animations. == Almost There == And now it is 2021, and I'm starting 7th grade. Great! A lot less projects than usual, but I was getting better. A lot better. I made things with cloud, much better art, and more games (especially pen games). And just like that, we arrive at: == Right Now == It's been a long 3.5 years on Scratch, and it's been great. == What it means to Me == Scratch means a lot to me. It's where I first started coding. It's a great, FREE online resource for beginners or even advanced (hence @griffpatch) coders to collaborate and share! I have improved, Scratch has improved, and it will always take a place in my heart. - StoneCascade, 2022 - My Journey Through Scratch
