Instructions

We have enough auditions! I will be playing Mirabel since no one else seemed to fit the part, and if I was judging my audition I would cast myself as Mirabel ~Audition for any character(s) by singing their part WITH THE TRACK. You can open the song in a different tab on your computer and sing along or use the instrumental in this project. Make sure to record with headphones, so the recording is just your voice. ~ALL AUDITIONS must include ensemble parts. These parts include: "Heyyyyy" (during Camilo's verse) "We don't talk about Bruno no, no, no, we don't talk about Bruno" (after Camilo's verse) The "no no"'s during the townspeople verse "Your fate is sealed when your prophecy is read" "Time for dinner" "He's Here" (spoken) "Don't talk about Bruno, not a word about bruno" ~If you are recording for Dolores or Isabela, don't forget to do their harmony parts: Dolores: "No, No" (during the chorus after Camilo's verse, listen for the nice sounding harmony) "We don't talk about Bruno" (also during the chorus, sang overlapping the 'Bruno' from everyone else) "It's like I hear him now, it's like I can hear him now, I can hear him now" (after her second verse, while Isabela says 'hey sis, I want not a sound out of you') "And I'm fine, and I'm fine, and I'm fine, I'm fine" (after her second verse during the madrigal at the end) Isabela "hey sis, I want not a sound out of you" (that one's pretty obvious) "Like the grapes that thrive on the vine, I'm fine" (during the first part of the madrigal, remember she sings that part different to the melody in her verse) "And I'm fine, and I'm fine, and I'm fine, I'll be fine" (After she sings her verse a second time during the madrigal at the end) Listen to the song to find these harmony parts and hear how to sing them. ~For all other characters, just record their verses and the ensemble parts. ~If you have good Spanish pronunciation, I would recommend auditioning for Mirabel and/or Abuela. ~The more characters you audition for, the better your chance is to get a part. ~Once you've made your audition, unless you've missed something or I want to see you try out for another character, you won't have to record anything more. ~Please include your age somewhere in your audition so I know how clear I have to be when communicating with you. ~Remember to re-record and practice your audition until you have a recording with no mistakes. Even if I can clearly tell you are a good singer, if you sing your part incorrectly I will not use it. Frequently asked questions: Q: I am [insert gender] [insert age] [insert skill level], can I still audition? A: Yes! Even if it's not likely you will get the part, it's always better to try. If you don't audition, your chances of getting the part are always 0%. And remember, even if you don't get the part, your remix can help my project get seen by more people, so you're still contributing to this project!
