a rant on motivation, and why i can't get any. if you don't know what motivation is, then here's a basic definition: Motivation is the reason why you want to work on something and to keep working on it. examples include having a deadline or making something for someone. if you don't have motivation, then you wont want to work on something. so you might be asking: "how do i get motivation?" find something to work for. do you want to impress someone? do you want to make something that stands out? do you want to create something you'll enjoy making? it might be easy for most of you to figure out your motivation, for me, though, it's hard to find that thing to work for. i usually make small, not-so-big projects that don't take a lot of time or effort to make. i don't feel motivated to make something on a large scope, so i don't work on big projects. this the main reason i join camps: since there's a deadline to each challenge, i feel motivated to make something before it ends. one of the problems of trying to find motivation (for me, at least) is that i don't want to make my goal to gain more fame. i've always gave myself a rule to follow, and that is to never make content just to get fame. i want to be able to make things that i actually want to make, not to make things that i don't really like just for views. this is where i encounter a roadblock, where i have no motivation to work on stuff, although i can't gain any. contrary to this, many people on scratch have made content solely to get followers, which i'm not a fan of. most of the time, these people don't put as much effort into their work as others do, but still get more attention. i've always tried to make actually good content and to not make any bad projects, and i think i've been doing a decent job. at the very least, i can try to keep this streak going for as long as i can. if i ever reach the point where i have to make content just to get attention, then i might just do that. but for now, i'm still young and clueless ans have no idea what to aim for. i mean, that's what friends are for, right? if you work with others, you can keep each other motivated, keeping everyone your working with, you know, working. but as of right now, i can't find a reason to get myself motivated. i have all these idea stuck in my head that i want to get out, but i just can't get myself to do them. if you're also having trouble with motivation, or know how to keep yourself motivated, please let me know. seeing as i can't get myself motivated, it would mean a lot to see how others deal with themselves. in the meantime, thanks to everyone who's supporting me, it means a lot to see people who care about me and pay attention to the things i make. thanks, -falkimore #stories
