Description

This is my attempt to make an epic adventure using no more than 100 blocks. I made it for the 100 Blocks MAX studio. Thanks to @Deuzz for the wonderful challenge! ❖❖❖ Sprites and Number of Blocks ❖❖❖ Stage (3) Player (9) Player Pointer (12) Player Hitbox (8) Walls (27) Ground (2) Roofs (6) Switches (7) Music (22) Win Screen (2) Thumbnail (2) Total blocks: 100 ❖❖❖ Credits ❖❖❖ I drew the graphics in the Scratch paint editor. I used Photoshop to add some texture (just noise) to the maps. I originally had several islands and intended to add bridges to them and paths up the mountain, but I think the game is long enough as it is, not least considering that it has no save function. I made the music and sound effects in BeepBox for this game specifically. I am particularly happy with the bird song, which turned out surprisingly realistic. You can now listen to extended versions of the songs on my album Piano, Brass & Dungeons, which is available at all major music streaming sevices. Projects that served as inspiration: Lost Ark - The Derpening by @Locomule: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/647747701/ Explorable Art by @wuzzyfuzzy4: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/505338453/ Maze by @junebeetle: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/77278452/ The font used in the title and ending is Jim Nightshade by Astigmatic. I used Google Drawings to save the text as SVG (vector graphics). https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Jim+Nightshade Ending photo by János Venczák on Unsplash: https://unsplash.com/@venczakjanos
