Description

It's a March CAPPY Update! :0 This is basically just an update project announcing an update project. This second update project will be released April 2-3 and will be of slideshow format, explaining literally everything you need to know about CAPPY before the game starts on April 30. One SUPER IMPORTANT THING you need to know is that you MUST COMMENT on that April project by APRIL 16TH to ACTUALLY COMPETE IN THE GAME. This is to avoid DNPs from random kids who signed up and then completely forgot about the camp. I can now officially say you've had six weeks of warning, so there's no excuse if you don't for some reason. Okay, next up: SIGNUP DEADLINE IS BEING PUSHED BACK TO MARCH 30TH. This is for the obvious reasons, plus it gives me four weeks to work with a near-complete cast, and two weeks with the complete cast. If, like, eighteen people had signed up, I would have easily been able to make CAPPY 1a the day signups came out, but at this rate that's not happening, and everyone's been suggesting I do it anyways. Okay, this is actually super important, so it's a shame it's all the way down here, but: THIS IS AN OBJECT CAMP. NOT AN OBJECT SHOW. An object CAMP is an object SHOW except you ACTUALLY HAVE TO DO SOMETHING. Usually, that something is do "challenges" by creating an animation or slideshow where you do the thing the host tells you to do. And in the case of CAPPY, most challenge deadlines will be SIX DAYS. I am laying these facts out because some people, particularily those not in the camp community, could easily make this mistake, and I have gotten some comments with wording implying some people have made the mistake, including one user who signed up around five different objects. So I am offering this in apology: If you didn't know this was a camp, or how camps worked, or are a bit overwhelmed by the whole six day deadline thing, leave a comment on this project saying you "decline" your entry to CAPPY. Note that I am NOT using the word "quit", as this is an honest mistake which I should have been more careful about. "Decliners", as they will be called, will NOT be counted as CAPPY contestants, or as past CAPPY contestants, or even be mentionned on the studio. Decliners are invited to unshare their signup(s), and their entire object is basically labelled as [Non Canon]. Okay, if you've gotten this far, you clearly enjoy reading info about the camp, so thank you. But now, I invite YOU to help me out! Here's the dilemma: There are currently 150 accepted signups. Even if no-one else gets accepted to the camp, and we get relatively high declining- and quitting- rates, I'd estimate the least people we could reasonably have is about 100 contestants. That's alot. And while It's really just a balancing act in terms of the actual episodes, the real problem stems from the intro. I have a great idea for an intro, which has been brewing in my head for over 6 months now, which I REALLY want to use. But I simply cannot do 180 intro poses by myself. Which is where you guys come in. Even if you make only 20 poses, if 5 other people do the same, that's 120 poses, cutting my work in thirds. All you have to do is go to the CAPPY signups, click on a few random remixes, check to make sure your selections have been accepted, then make a pose. Maybe remix this project, so it pops up in my messages. The more you do, the less work I have to do, which would be greatly appreciated. Anyways, it's long past 3 AM here, so I'm finally off to bed. And final shoutout to BRIMMY: You guys are amazing. It doesn't seem like much, but if you watch the signups again, my expectations were just about as low as physically possible, and I wound up with the community that creates their own story ark and a studio to back it all up. It truly is astounding what you guys have done. That's all, and have a good [insert time period here]! #CAPPY #Cappy #March #Update
