- - - [ notes / introduction ] btw click the flag x3 welcome one, welcome all to my latest dtae :] i've been getting into memes lately, and when i saw this *gorgeous* design i just knew it would fit ... something ... scouring my brain, i wrote up his backstory and bam! i had an idea. so now here you go! press the green flag and watch away <3 i will most likely be posting a part 2 to this -- which will have more art ! it will be linked when shared, but for now -- just enjoy this one scroll down for the bio and backstory :] - - - [ bio ] name ; polaris pronouns/gender ; afab, masc. nonbinary [ they/he ] orientation ; unlabeled <3 personality ; polaris is a shy, quiet lad who enjoys being alone and watching the night sky. his favorite constellation is cassiopeia but a close second is ursa major. they are typically mute, on a rare occasion they will speak but only if they are bugged. they constantly worry about everything -- and are very claustrophobic in big crowds of small spaces. they do end up feeling lonely sometimes, watching other kids having fun -- but they decide that what he does is worth it. - likes ; space, astronomy, stargazing, crystals, the moon, purple, planets, being alone, quiet, darkness dislikes ; loud noises, too many people (claustrophobic), small spaces, cloudy nights, the sun, bright light, being annoyed by others, misgendering - this meme is meant to capture their longing for friendship, but also how they still feel okay without it. <3 - - - [ backstory ] when he was younger, polaris's parents used to tell them that he was made from stardust. they always believed in this, which caused his obsession with astronomy in the first place. by the time their parents realized how their kid never participated in anything the other kids did, it was too late -- but nothing he did was bad. just .. different. when he came out and told them he wasn't female, they accepted it, thinking maybe that was the reason that he acted so weird. but he continued with their behavior, watching stars at night and gazing at the sky during the daytime -- as long as the sun wasn't present. his parents finally gave up trying to get him to be "normal" and polaris showed them that he was content the way they were. living peacefully, obsessed with astronomy, and having the darkness at night blanket them in comfort. - - - [ location / other ] polaris lives in alaska, nearest to the ocean. his family has a small cabin in the woods which is close by other cabins and families, but theirs is special. polaris camps out all day and all night, watching the stars with a telescope he got for his birthday. the cabin seems inviting to anyone but him. they prefer the small tent in front of the cabin, a little distance away so the stars are visible but the cabin is in sight. they aren't scared of the dark, but they know their family worries so he likes to be considerate. this is how they pass their days, and they dream of becoming a famous astronomer. they hope one day a constellation will be named after them. - - -
