In recent weeks, I have been most shocked by the invasion/genocide committed by Russia for dictatorial purposes in Ukraine. 3.5 million have fled, 46,000 dead. In Mariupol, Kharkiv, Cherniv and elsewhere, shelling is constant. There is no water or food. People get deported by Hussian soldiers, and never see their families and friends again. Thousands have died. Peoples lives are being torn apart. I know this seems farfetched, but Freedom is under threat. Peace is under threat. I know this war seems far away in most of the world, but it's not. It affects us all. If we let this happen, we set a dangerous precedent of letting Putin and other despots get away with countless untold atrocities, and some day, near or far, that is guaranteed to affect us in some way. Millions are dying, and millions have fled. Millions live in countries where people are too scared to do anything because otherwise the local dictator may react with brutality. Let's not build such a future for ourselves here in the rest of the world. Stand with Ukraine, Stand against tyranny.
