AAAA MOON FELL IN THE RAT TRAP! so i was playing wi her two days ago and she bit me sooo hard so i shook her off and accidentally sent her tumbling into the rat trap... SORRY MOONLIGHT her legs, eye, and one wing was stuck in the glue and she couldn't get out. well we all had to pull her and she was so scared and hurt poor bird :( after that we poured oil on her to get the glue out (like who will like it being held by giants who are pouring weird oily stuff on you???) and she was... literally covered in oil and glue. and then to get the oil out we scrubbed her in water and baby soap (gosh! getting stuck in a rat trap, getting oil poured on you, getting soaped and wet?) and she was biting like mad and struggling but she was very tired... finally she'd had enough and closed her eyes- NOOO! we dried her and put her in the cage. i thought she won't survive but lucky her, she's strong! she was feeling much better buttt terrified of humans now. moonylight didn't dare to step out of the cage, opposite of what she did before. im excited cause today, just now, she flew right out of the cage and went to my shoulder!!! yay! the old moon is BACK! not completely back, tho. her feathers are still yellow from the rat glue and very oily. (which wasn't much of a surprise, oil is very hard to wash out and she didn't rlly let us scrub out the glue.) it will take ages for her feathers to come normal again, but her personality is back at least! i will add some pics of her later, she's tweeting for me as i write. updates coming soon! byeee update: MUCH BETTER! update 2: HEALED!!!
