As far as any Shape could remember, the Geometric Shapes and Organic Shapes have been enemies. Squares always warn their children, "Never trust an Organic Shape. If it's lines are free-form or flowy, they're always sly, cunning, two faced creatures!" And every Organic Shape knew better than to stray in the Geometric Quarter. Who could imagine what horrible things a gang of roving Geometric Shapes might do to an unsuspecting Organic Shape? The Organic Shapes tend to be smug and stuck up. After all, there were a lot of them. (Especially in Nature!) Surely, they felt that made them better than the common Geometric Shapes. For their part, the Geometric Shapes thought all Organic Shapes were sissies. "Those stupid Organic Shapes!" they would say, laughing to each other. "They don't have names, they are shaped like blobs, they are messy, what sort of looks is that for a shape to have!" Geometric Shapes prefer their own shapes. Flat, Straight, Curvy, Round, etc. Good neat looking shapes. And they are proud to have names. Most of the time, the Geometric Shapes and the Organic Shapes just disliked and distrusted each other. Until one day, a taunt was answered with a rock, then a rock with a spear, then a spear with a catapult, and the catapult with WAR! The Geometric Shapes and the Organic Shapes all have a big giant war! Until something happens that causes all the shapes decide to cooperate and then gain interest on each other.
This is based off of a book, "The War Between the Vowels and the Consonants". This is a quirky art picture because I learned about the Geometric and Organic shapes in class ago.
