Ik yall probably want me to stop drawing tog characters but i'm not stopping as long as i love this comic, and since it feeds me every week i'm guessing that will be a very long time i think i draw these to make myself simp but i'm not entirely sure now, onto the actual comments on the piece: the lighting be inconsistent as heck imao (this whole thing is chaotic as heck) This one took a very long time, but not on rendering the clothes, no, i mean i restarted on the face like 10 times because white's face is pretty and I wanted to make it seem that way there are a few things I don't like about this,, like how the belt texture turned out as well as the skin shading and the shading on his bangs, but overall, i'm quite satisfied with this one :) so in my brain i was like, why don't I yeet the color wheel with white this time with lots and lots of red because it would look cool? here we are. finished piece. boom. I realize how similar this is to the previous proper fanart (no, not the maid dress one) of white, the only one that's gotten it's own project (he's in alot of art dumps of mine) https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/585275894/ <this, but that's super ugly so this is basically a redraw, I think I improved lots since last time even though it was only what, 4 months ago? that was already the time I started to like eve alot lol (music artist) obviously, this isn't perfect, so maybe i'll redraw again sometime. but before I redraw white again i'll probably do a redraw of the oldest thing i've ever made. that was made around april so i'll probably redraw it around then as well. i've been developing this more colorful painting style for a long time now, and I think it's finally coming to some sort of fruition, because i'm finally (kind of) figuring out how to get faces right? I'm hoping it will develop even more from here. (minor spoils, skip past this paragraph if you haven't read tog) white's character is a very interesting one , a boy who wanted to reach his father, but his father told him the only way to reach him was to join hands with a demon and devour the souls of the weak. fantastic parenting. (spoils basically over) In the end, his hands are soaked with a blood that can never wash away, but his figure is pure and white, almost like he's trying to hide his true nature, but it seeps out in red accents around his design, such as the blood eye paint. All the white makes him very difficult to draw. but red is a very fun color so I enjoyed this alot. I guess when i was drawing this piece I kind of wanted to represent him as a gleaming white figure in a sea of red, but the crimson color seeps in the cracks and reflects on him, for he is the souce of the blood itself. is this symbolic? i don't know honestly i draw these things on a whim at like 10pm once again, I need to stop talking so i'll stop. also, READ TOWER OF GOD (by SIU) people. it's easy, it's free, and it only took me half a week (but it's long enough you don't get starved immediatley.) please read past season 1 at least. give it a try. the art gets really good. read it. that's all, read tower of god #art#manhwa#painting#tog#towerofgod
