This program is for use with the Lego WeDo model Flying Bird: https://a248.e.akamai.net/cache.lego.com/r/education/r/lesi/-/media/lesi/downloads/building%20instructions/wedo/9580_flyingbird.pdf You can see a video of her in action here: https://vimeo.com/130365118 Press on the tail to flap the wings. The bird will make a sound once per flap. Lift the tail right up, so the bird pecks at her feet. She will make a sound when she does this too. If you look very closely, you’ll see that I have made two small changes from the official model. I have added grey rings to the yellow bits that stick out the front, so that the wings don’t go so far down that the cams at the back get too high. I’ve also raised the distance sensor up a little, so the bird doesn’t have to peck so far down. I also found some strange behaviour with earlier versions of this program, and I’m wondering if anyone else has encountered problems when using both the tilt and distance sensor in one model with Scratch. If so, please let me know.
