"Why did he lock me in here" she growled angrily. Her father had discovered that she had been practicing fencing in the palace courtyard and said that she was a disgrace. Nia heard a clink and came back to the present. The important thing was to get out right now. She however didnt know that an enemy army from the larger kingdom of rodensburg was approaching a a fast pace. Nia scurried down a drainpipe and reached the ground. Carefully making no noise she saddled her horse. Her rapier at her side and wearing a hooded cloak she set off unaware that her travels would take her farther than anyone in her kingdom had ever been before. She looked back and to her horror saw the whole kingdom was ablaze. "No..." She wispered. She wasnt looking where she was going and when she finaly turned she couldnt steer her horse away from a sheer cliff. As she fell she felt guilt rise up that her last conversation with her father had been in anger. Then closing her eyes she plummeted into the icy cold water and everything went dark. To be continued
