The Thatchersville Lumber Company purchased 2 shays numbered 3 and 4 in 1917 to help with the two older engines which were not quite as efficient the two shays went into work immediately they were powerful and efficient for their size they would be repainted a few times until in 1944 when 3 and 4 where beaten down but still required 4 was still going decently and 3 was just about dead so they tore her apart for spare parts and purchased the railroad's number 7 when the line closed number 4 was given to the thatchersville railroad reuniting with TLC 5 number 4 was repainted and ran for until the early 90s she needed a heavy rebuild and raising money for her restoration took a while until in 2004 it finally returned to service and is still running today
