28 May: Installed decent thumbnail as part of a profile renovation effort. Congratulations on 200 followers! I wish you at least another 200 to follow. Regrettably I am not in that category, having just stumbled across this DMC, but I wanted to enter anyway. Uh, see inside for sketches etc. This time I couldn't be bothered putting controls in so you can view them from this page. Anyway I didn't want to save all the intermediate stuff like base colours. It slows the project down. PS. Another entirely SVE artwork. I've noticed people get an extra layer of appreciation if they mention this, because apparently it's very hard to do good art on it. Well, for me the alternative is Paint 3D. No thanks. I probably could get a different art app or platform, but I understand the good ones cost money I don't have and my parents won't give me.
Anguuuuaaa! Stooop! You're in too many contests already! Please do NOT use the abbreviation starting with O and ending with G in comments, because I find the meaning offensive due to being a Christian. Thanks! Urgh, I have no chance of placing in this. I made the mistake of looking through all the entries before getting very far on mine, and there are some truly amazing ones. My art, meanwhile, is not perfect and full of faults. To give a few examples: -The shoulders should be skewed the other way, so the one to the viewer's right is higher and the one to the left is lower -I persistently draw the eyes too small -I can't draw mouths at all, which is why it's a line -The feet are awful, don't look at them -Please don't look at the nose either -Uh, have you seen how long the neck is? -Also I suck at drawing frills. Citation: Front of blouse -Have you ever seen such rubbish perspective? ...and so on. Nobody like the artist for giving dispiriting critiques to their own work. I'll laugh if this actually places. -Edit: It sort of did. I got an honourable mention, which is much better than I was expecting. Minor anecdote: Last night (at time of typing) I was putting in shadows while my laptop was charging and because it was handling a reasonably complex project and because my PC always heats up when charging it started overheating and the computer nearly broke so I had to turn it off and on again, but miraculously when I went back to Scratch all my work was saved.
