On Friday, February 4, 2022, my Chromebook took a fatal fall. We were able to open it up and give it a jumpstart, but earlier today, in an attempt to fix something that had come loose, I accidentally pulled the plug, figuratively and literally. We may have a chance at fixing it, but its future isn't looking good. This Chromebook was my first ever personal computer; I had it for 2.5 years and it was the inspiration for the Cheep Krombik, a recurring item in my animations that even gained sentience and competes in several of my object shows, such as Simple Object Show. To me, its loss has roughly the same effect as that of a close pet. I am currently writing this on my laptop, which I also have full control of, so this tragedy will not slow down any of my plans. But even as I type these words, the loud clacking of the higher-quality keyboard is only reminding me of my loss. I really hope I can get my Chromebook back. But if not, that's okay. Now you know.
