Hi, it's the part I've been doing for like a month now ☠. Actually, the drawings that you've been seeing are only around three days old. I got this done in three days, so that's good. NOTE: this lags when viewed on mobile. Anyways lore stuff now So, this is basically a hypothetical situation where Bumblebee's ghost witnesses Granite murder his sister, Maple. I'm saying hypothetical as whether or not the supernatural exists in the lore is left purposely vague. Granite murders his sister in an envious rage. He does this out of a combination of his childhood trauma relating to his mother and sister plus his current mental instability. Basically, his mother sucked and was both abusive and neglectful. She hated both of her sons as she did not want them; she only wanted a daughter. She also had some problems with her marriage, but that's for another time. Therefore, she only kind of cared about Maple; however, Maple was left with her own issues from childhood as well, but, again, that's for another time. Young Granite desperately craved his parental affection and couldn't understand what made him so unlovable, so he grew envious of Maple. These feelings subsided when he became an adult; however, following the death of his wife (Bumblebee) and the disappearance of his son (Asphalt), these feelings began to surface once more. Sometime after his son disappears, Granite decides to try and clear his head by walking around outside. Yes, he likes to do this in cold weather, too. He walks for miles until he comes to his sister's house. He witnesses her enjoying time with her family before they go to sleep; her family goes to bed. She goes outside to lock their shed (but whoops! I forgot to draw it so pretend it's there). As this is happening, Granite is watching her from the woods becoming angrier as he questions why she deserves to have a family while he doesn't. At the peak of madness, he rushes towards her, grabs her, flings her into the snow, and crushes her neck. Basically, immediately after, he regrets this decision and feels pretty terrible. So, he grabs her corpse and dumps it into the nearby river (and also, he washes himself off). Maple's corpse is found a few days later because Granite didn't tie her down or anything. Maple is one of the few victims that have actually been found. Okay, so now it's time for me to explain the art/hj I'm actually just critiquing my own art. I've technically had this part for over a year now because I've been procrastinating. I think it looks, okay? Definitely not my worst MAP part, but I don't like it as much as I thought I would. The front facing Bumblebee looks alright, but front facing Granite is worse. The full body shot of Granite has some failed perspective to it. Some of the backgrounds are blurry because they don't look good (also, it allows more focus on Granite because everything is so DARK it's hard to see ANY DETAIL it needs it). I think that the background for the other part (22) look way better than this. I tried to have more movement to it with panning shots and moving images. The ending is weird. I really didn't want to draw more boring, blue-gray snow, so I went with neon pink I guess. Maybe it symbolizes a break from reality idk I really should think these things through more. Bumblebee has this light blue glow to her because she's a ghost in this (this is why she also has no shadow). Also, both Granite and Bumblebee received redesigns which I will fully show when I get that 600+ redesign my OC contest that I've been teasing for a while. In the meantime, please stay put; I'm trying to get it out. There will be a lot of lore explaining and crap, so even if you aren't joining the contest, you get a lore dump.
