Shine your light on the monster to deter it, fail to do so for too long, then you will become trapped within this world. To move your flashlight, use the arrow keys, your time is measured in the top right corner, and directly under it is the world record for time. Use space bar to to toggle your flashlight, it charges while off, and requires extra time charging if it runs out of battery, the monster cannot be deterred while the light is off.
