To start off with, a remark about commenting: lately people have been commenting on my projects an abbreviation three letters long, starting with O and ending with G. Please don't use it, because I find the meaning offensive. Thanks! (I'm open to discussion about why it's offensive on my profile but please don't ask here.) Apparently this came second. Thanks, @-zimzim-, you don't know how gratifying that is, especially with more famous artist scratchers like @Pinkmouse773 in the contest. I drew my favourite character called - you'll never guess- Angua (full name Delphine Angua von Uberwald). She's a member of the Ankh-Morpork city watch, their first female recruit, and their first undead recruit as well (she's a werewolf). She mainly appears in the Guards books (part of Terry Pratchett's Discworld series), although not in the first one (Guards, Guards!). They are, in order: Men at Arms, Feet of Clay, Jingo, and The Fifth Elephant (there are a few more but I haven't read them). She also appears in The Truth and Monstrous Regiment, and makes a brief, implied, unnamed cameo appearance in Going Postal. My best friend @-Tiffany-Aching- tells me she's in 'I Shall Wear Midnight' as well, which again I still haven't read. Most of the Discworld books are unfortunately not suitable for younger readers. (I first read them when I was 13, but you might want to wait a little longer than that.) The outfit is inspired by the cover of my copy of 'Night Watch' (in which Angua is mentioned but never actually appears), because I suck at drawing armour without some sort of inspiration in front of me. That was the only inspiration I used, though, because you can't count the description of her physical appearance in the books (especially as it's fairly vague). By the way, she is only a constable in the first two books. By 'Jingo' she's made it to corporal, she becomes a sergeant in 'The Fifth Elephant', and apparently she eventually makes it to captain. I just chose that for my username because I liked the sound of 'constable Angua' better than the other ranks. I also did a drawing of Tiffany Aching, my best friend's favourite Discworld character. After finishing both of these I didn't originally intend to enter this one, but @-zimzim- asked me to, so OK. Ask @-Tiffany-Aching- for more information about this character. Press T to see her. I realise I'm very much in the minority as I chose not to draw a Harry Potter character, but I've read next to no Harry Potter and don't care for it that much anyway. Discworld is better.
