The thatcherville lumber co is a fictional railroad I will elaborate on in another railroad space for different schemes 5 was built for the thatchersville lumber company in 1921 by porter locomotive works in Pittsburgh to work on the lumber company in Virginia she was the quickest engine compared to the shays and climax and was purchased to run local freights and passenger trains on the railroad seeing as the geared engine was running log trains on steeps grades. In 1945 she was repainted losing her lining and her number moving to her wood bunker in 1952 she was slated to be sold a group of preservationists purchased her and made their own tourist railroad relaying old trackage 3 1/2 miles out of thatchersville to the site of the old sawmill which would be replaced by a new sawmill in thatchersville in 1948 when moving and repairing the loco they repainted it quickly and wrote "preserving history" on the tank after that she was repainted into the thatchersville railroad paints scheme being joined by other loco and rolling stock in 2017 she went down for a rebuild in which she went to the Strasburg railroad fo rframework in 2021 when she returned to service she was in her 1950s scheme and ran some photo charters today she is the pride of the railroad as for the thatchersville lumber company in 1954 the went bankrupt and tore up the line 5 is one of 3 steam engines from the line preserved
