CHAPTER ONE: "Faith in the Living..." ----______________________________----- Cadence Anders was walking through the forest not far from her house alongside an old friend of hers. "Are you sure this is safe?" Spoke Noah Collins, a brave boy whom wasn't really afraid of very many things except for his friends safety. "Positive..." Cadence responded before tripping over a tree root. "Oof..!" She landed onto her back. Noah held back a snort of laughter and helped her up. "Thanks..." Cadence spoke, wiping off the dirt from her jeans. Noah nodded and they continued their journey. As they arrived at an abandoned building, Cadence felt a tremor of a strange chill go down her spine. "Uh, this is creepy-" Noah remarked. Cadence nodded and walked up to the buildings front door. Cautiously, she opened it. Inside of the place was a dimly lit area. Then, suddenly, they heard a loud noise. Cadence darted towards the sound with Noah running after her. A room's door was slightly opened and Cadence peeked through it. She slowly opened the door. It was a bit darker than the first room they entered. "Hello?" Cadence spoke into the darkness, walking through the shadowy room. Noah stayed by the door. "Be careful!" He cried after her. "Okay!" Cadence responded, while in the corner of her blue eyes she saw something twitch behind a few boxes.
