NightFlame- Female Cat/Spirit Spirited, kind, funny and bubbly NightFlame was an ordinary cat for the start of her life. One day, in the midst of a long, cold leafbare the lake froze over. Per usual NightFlame was fist to step onto the ice. It craked under her paws and she dropped down into the freezing water. As her clanmates scrambled to rescue her her spirit slipped into StarClan. Their cats agreed she was not ready, sending her back while accidentally fusing her spirit with one of a dead cat's. As cats gathered around the lake, due to the commotion, her spirit fused back to her body. Finally, a RiverClan cat, AspenShadow, dived in to the water and saved her life. From them on parts of her body slipped into spirit form.
A loud crack sounded from beneath NightFlame's paws. She froze in terror, her fur spiking in cold fear. She could see cracks spreading under her feat, reaching to the edges of the lake. She tried to make a last dash to the shore, her claws gripping the ice and her paws thrumming on the slippery surface. Failure. The ice slipped beneath NightFlame's paws and she slipped beneath the surface, icy water filling her mouth and ears. Darkness swarmed around her, consuming her vision and blurring her senses. When NightFlame opened her eyes she was no longer plummeting towards the bottom of a freezing lake. She was in a light-filled field while starry pelted cats swarmed around her like bees. NightFlame haled herself upwards and looked at the odd cats. Am I in StarClan? she asked her self inwardly. One of the cats stepped forward. "I am Star," he announced, nodding respectfully. "This is my clan." "S-StarClan?" she whispered. If she was in StarClan she was dead. Star twitched his ears and sighed, "Me and my council have agreed that it is not time for you to join us." "What?" ask NightFlame in absolute disbelief. "Go back to your own world we will have you join us some day not now," his voice was wise and full of kindness. NightFlame looked around the assembled cats, seeing their kind expressions and smiled. "Thank you Star." She purred. Star angled his ears towards a star filled pool of deep blue water. "Jump," he whispered softly. NightFlame looked at the pool in dismay but leaped in anyway and felt herself slipping back to the real world. Written entirely by rubymrt
