Batch two! Part 2 of drawing all of the dsmp characters in order they joined! For this batch I drew Sam, Ponk, Bad and Tommy. Ponk was by far my favourite in this batch to draw, but I'm a little biased because Ponk is my favourite on the SMP by far. More info on the designs below- Sam- For Sam I mostly just went with his cannonical design, the gold armor, the crown, green hair and gas mask. I tried to incorporate the fact that I usually draw creepers as green lion-like creatures with monstrous beaks and acid dripping from their mouth and in their breath. I used the green splotched lion-like accents for his main body and ears, though I think his ears still look a bit catlike in this image. Also, apparently Sam is canonically 6'7", which is about the same height as Ranboo! This is the reason that he looks huge compared to Ponk and Tommy. Then again, everyone looks huge compared to Ponk, so I don't think that this is a really fair comparison. I have a small headcannon that Sam's breath is poisonous for everyone else to be around, and is highly explosive, so he filters it out via the gas mask and a filter that's strapped to his back. Ponk- Ponk is so wholesomely chaotic I love them so much, honestly he is one of my favourite content creators by far! For their design I didn't do anything too crazy, it's mostly just the cannon design here. But I really like drawing floofy hair, so I had a bit sticking out of her mask, also because his blonde hair really matches her skin tone and pallette well and I was also too lazy to draw the other eye. I decided to have his left sleeve pinned up, rather than just tied in a knot like I've seen a lot of designs for him do, idk I just think it looks a lot better this way. The pin that they're using to hold it up in this image is golden, mainly because I wanted to show how awesomely rich they are. Ponk is amazing. We stan. Also, no, I have absolutely no idea why I gave her random belts that have literally no purpose, maybe they could be used to hold his inventory items? Or possibly they're just for decoration, because they look really darn cool on Ponk. Then again, everything looks really dark cool on Ponk. On another note, their eyes are an orange brown colour in this because I wanted to see how it would look rather than just doing the corrupted eyes and mask. Yes, I understand that he looks incredibly short in this, but you need to understand that it's because they are. Ponk is incredibly short. We stan. Bad- Yes, I know that Bad is cannonically 9'6", but seeing as Bad himself is only about 5'8", I tried to scale him down a bit more so he looked less gigantic compared to everyone else, also because I'm lazy and don't want to draw him gigantic compared to everybody else all the time. Maybe he can change his height at will with magic demon powers? Yeah, we'll go with that. For Bad, once again this is mainly the cannon design. I tried to incorporate his throwing knives in there, and I gave him a little scratch on one of his horns because it looks good. You also can't see it very well because of the dark lineart, but Bad has a little baby beard as well because he does. I don't have to explain myself to you. Also, just gotta add that I didn't put his hood on his head because I love the way his ears look here, he's like a little dog! Tommy- Tommy's design here is pretty self explanatory, he's in his signature white and red T-shirt. I decided to give him an undershirt because I was afraid just the plain T made his design look a bit dull compared to everyone else. He also gets bandages on his face, because lord knows that this kid can be more coordinated. That's also why he has rips and tears in his jeans. Tommy's the kind of guy to see a flight of stairs and ask, "Is anybody going to fall down that?" and not wait for an answer. You can't really see because of how he's posed here, but I also gave Tom some dark gloves because everyone else has them and he has to match because social conformity. Ignore the fact that he's only wearing socks, he claims it's a fashion statement, but in reality he just can't find his shoes again. He's also got the streak in his hair because of the whole revival thing. Stay tuned for batch #3, which will include Tubbo, Fundy, Punz, and Purpled!
