【機体解説】 TG計画において開発されたTG-01,TGL-01/02,MT-03等で散見された足元が極めて不安定な箇所や山岳部等、試験において開発される以前のオリゴ北西部等に配備されたOAで出てきた問題点や、水中などのOAの活動範囲を拡大することを目標に開発した「局地戦用OA」それが本機WT-01「メルゲ」である。 本機は他OAと違い専用にWTフレームと呼ばれる新規設計のフレームを有し機体各部にハルカス以上の球体関節を内蔵することで、高圧環境に耐える堅牢な造りと今までのOAと同等の広い可動範囲を維持しており、装甲自体も曲面主体で重装甲となっている。 更にハルカス試作時に作られたホバーユニットの技術を継承、より小型でエネルギー効率の良く、かつ極めて強力な新型と複数の推進装備を脚部に内蔵することでホバー移動による不整地における弱点をある程度解決することが可能になっている。 また、本機には水中潜航に特化した装備や空中飛行に特化した装備等の専用装備が複数用意されている。 【武装解説】 4本爪クローユニット 本機の格闘装備、腕部ユニットから180度反転し実体の爪が展開される。発熱機能を搭載しヒートクローとして使用する。水中では急速に熱量を奪うためヒートクローとしての使用はあまり効果がないため基本的には水中での展開では発熱しないよう設定されている。 多環境対応バズーカ 宇宙空間や水中など使用する空間を選ばない極めて汎用性の高いバズーカ。弾種も様々で中には誘導ロケット弾や短魚雷などもある。 潜水用増加推進装置 バックパックに装備される潜水用タンク兼水中用の推進機、下部はフレキシブルに稼動し、推力偏向が可能。本機に水中潜航能力と水面下からの奇襲させることができ、潜水艦より小型でありながら、潜水艦と遜色ない火力を複数投入する新たな戦術を可能とする。 [Machine explanation] The TG-01, TGL-01/02, MT-03, etc. developed in the TG project were deployed in areas with extremely unstable footing and mountainous areas, and in the northwest of Origo before they were developed in the test.
