What if the blast happened an hour earlier...? June 12th, 1973: 12:28 PM I had this journal for a while and i haven't really used it at all cause you know work and other things, but I've thought that something interesting might happen and it seems to be the case. Topham signed an agreement for this new power plant the government is building on the Brendam branch between the docks and Suddery. I don't really have a problem but Sidney has an issue because he said that "Of all the places they could have put it, they had to put it near the most beautiful line" in his opinion. but Thomas can agree that it is a safety hazard and is very dangerous especially if there was an explosion, I told Thomas that was unlikely because the people working there are professionals and they know what they were doing but I agree that having that plant on this island is a bad idea. July 4th, 1973: 1:34 PM Oh, God. It happened, the power plant exploded. We were at Knapford when it occurred, Thomas was shunting coaches for the day when Percy puffed up with Annie & Clarabel. The engines started chatting when we heard an explosion. The sky went dark, and this huge cloud was visible in the distance. Percy and his crew, panicked quickly and ran off, leaving us at the station, Thomas tried to move but the weight of the coaches held him back luckily the coupling broke between the 1st and 2nd coach and we flew off, we were on the main line and continued to gain speed until the points changed and we slammed into Clarabel, Thomas and Percy went on, rushed in and out of Henry's Tunnel, and the shockwave hit, The glass in the coaches broke and the cab windows in Thomas cracked but didn't break, We could feel the heat rising, but we didn't stop until we got to Elsbridge. We got there safely but we couldn't find that much food so soon we're going to leave and find a station with more supplies. Lets hope this goes well and the Engines are alright. July 4th 1973: 7:21 PM (Charlie's POV) We've been here for 3 hours and Edward has noticed there are two lines of coaches in Platforms 3 & 4 with one of the coaches missing, he heard that Thomas was getting the coaches ready hours ago and Percy was pulling Annie & Clarabel so he assumes that Thomas & Percy were at the station when the blast happened and when Thomas tried to get away, the coupling between the rest of the coaches broke, but let's hope those two are safe.
