Horse abuse is a serious issue, as with all animal mistreatment. Horses, even some of the most renowned, are neglected and tormented in all regions of the Earth. Occasionally, this happens because of an ignorant or incompetent handler who genuinely doesn't know the proper way to care for a horse. It doesn't make it acceptable, but at least the handler is trying to tend to the horse in the right way, even if he/she doesn't succeed. However, the majority of horse abusers constrain the animals purposely. The reason horse abuse is so widely spread is due to the fact that some people believe injuring the horse will force it into submission. In reality, however, it does quite the opposite. Repetitive negative behavior toward a horse, even a pleasant and agreeable one, has the possibility to transform the animal in to a dull, listless creature that has lost the strong will to thrive. Humans who torture horses in these ways usually recognize what they are doing is oppressive and damaging, yet they refuse to reform their actions. This issue isn't just derogatory, it's a blatant disregard for the creatures of the Earth and extremely inhumane. If one isn't compassionate to an innocent animal, he/she is undeniably going to struggle to be charitable to fellow humans. Behavior like this doesn't just indicate that one is unpleasant or inconsiderate, it reveals one has a tendency to be evil. Loving and appreciating animals isn't everyone's calling in life, and that's understandable. However, to despise them to the point of tarnish is slanderous and malicious. It is disgusting and infuriating the wrongdoing people subject to horses... and to all animals. Horses have the potential to inspire humanity. With the aptness to assist people who are experiencing inexpedient events in their lives, horses deserve to be protected. It is a necessity that society as a whole takes a firm stance against this misconduct and immorality. Whether that be through protests, spreading the word, writing about the predicament of horses, or etc, that's up to individuals who choose to maintain and promote proper horse treatment. Horses, even some of the most famous, face the cruelty of abuse. Sometimes, it is because of a handler who really doesn't know the right way to care for a horse. However, most of the time, this happens to horses under the control of people who /do/ know that what they are doing to horses is harsh and not acceptable. Hurting a horse doesn't make it listen to your commands better, it makes the horse lose the will to live. Humanity needs to take a stance against this unfair treatment. Whether that be through writing, drawing, spreading the word, protesting, or etc. it needs to be done. And the way it's done is up to you.
