My alarm woke me up 3 hours later. As I got ready for the school day, I tried - to no avail - to figure out what my dream last night had meant. The five of us went down to the breakfast hall. Naomi and Calli got bagels, Brazen got oatmeal, and Harlow and I got cereal. In Creative Writing that day, we started a new paper: we each had to write a short story of fiction. It was due in two weeks; on February 15. In Potions, we started making potions to counteract different ailments. Naomi and I got assigned hypnotizing. In Spell-Casting, we learned a new spell: the Truth Spell. This was both useful and dangerous. Once used, that person would tell the truth no matter what you asked them. But if they didn’t know the truth, the spell would make them find it. The stress this puts on the victim’s mind could be harmful; even fatal. In Enchanting, we learned how to enchant plants. Calli enchanted a rose, Harlow enchanted a cactus, Brazen enchanted a small tree, I enchanted a vine, and Naomi enchanted a bush. In Math, we learned how to measure angles. It was decently easy, but some bits were a little challenging. In Healing, we practiced using plants to heal people. We went to Lunch, then went down to Rocks & Minerals. We learned to identify the difference between two rocks; jarock, a lifesaving potion ingredient, and laryo, a poisonous, almost identical, potion ingredient. After Rocks & Minerals, we went to Astronomy. Today we studied the constellations and planets. After the break, we went down to the woods for Survival Class. Today we were taught how to wield a pocket knife; solely to defend ourselves. I made a mental note to remember this in case we faced any more villains in the future. After classes finished, the five of us studied in Calli’s room. After dinner, we each went into our dorms. I knew I probably should get some sleep, on account of the fact that we had classes again tomorrow, but I wanted to do something about the dream. I opened my Species: Unique and Common book for Survival Class and browsed through the werewolf section. It said nothing about excess transformations, but then again, it also held no mention of monsters like Ren and Cozbi’s. I’d helped Carlos by having him talk to Ren, and I didn’t want to ask Ren something again. I didn’t want to bother him when he obviously had his own things he wanted to do. But I felt that if I didn’t do something, things could end badly. I decided to do something, though, and went to sleep.
