Information from Wikipedia (Take it with a grain of salt!) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Under_the_Influence_of_Giants Origins: In 2004, the band Home Town Hero was going through too many changes with band members and label related situations. Then the lead singer, Aaron Bruno, and his friend, Drew Stewart, reconnected with a friend named Jamin Wilcox, who was once the drummer for another band called Audiovent. Eventually, they all quit Maverick Records and move on to another company named Island Records. Then they met bassist David Amezuca. They became known as Under the Influence of Giants and they released their debut album in 2006. Just like Home Town Hero, they got some attention, but they broke up soon after. In 2009, Aaron and Drew would eventually form AWOLNATION, then Drew and David would leave the newly formed band in 2015.
