Use your arrow keys to move the water droplet. ꕥ Right Arrow Key- Go right ꕥ Left Arrow Key- Go left ꕥ Up Arrow Key- Jump ꕥ Enjoy! Note from me! This is actually my first platformer! Even though most of the code isn't mine I did work hard with the art and also solving technical difficulties. Hopefully you enjoyed! Have a good day!
Credits inside the project! (Most coding is NOT mine!) Please read! ⇩ ꕥ The importance of runoff ꕥ Runoff is in simple terms, the water that runs off from lawns, streets, and other surfaces and areas into your watershed. It can carry fertilizer, sediment (aka loose dirt), grass, trash, and other items that can harm your ecosystem and watershed. A watershed is the land surrounding an area where precipitation collects (such as a stream or river) and then drains into a common river, bay, or other body of water. When runoff gets into a water source, it can hurt the water, things that live in the water, and things that live around the water! ꕥ How runoff is shown in this game ꕥ As you can see in the game, there are plenty of obstacles, but what you might not know is that they all have to do with runoff. Lots of runoff goes down storm drains, but some just go straight to the river (or other water source). There is also sediment. This makes the water dirty, and then it goes into the river. Not ideal. Then there are the puddles. These are usually made from runoff trying to go into a storm drain, but the storm drains gets plugged up (by leaves, trash, etc) and the water stays there, causing floods. Lastly, there is trash. For obvious reasons, you don't want this to go into the river. Lastly, their is the algae. This, instead of causing the problem, is usually made by runoff. When polluted runoff gets into the water, it can cause algae blooms. ꕥ What runoff causes ꕥ Algae blooms. Algae blooms are when sediment and other things carried by runoff get into the water. Then, algae starts to feed on it, growing bigger and bigger. Eventually, if they aren't stopped, they can cover the entire surface of the water, or large parts of it. This blocks out day light for under water plants. Then, the small fish that eat those plants die from lack of food. Then the fish that eat the smaller fish die. So on and so forth. This can cause really big problems in an ecosystem. ꕥ Links and Tags ꕥ For more about runoff, visit here: https://sites.google.com/students.latinpcs.org/chesapeake-bay-runoff/home?authuser=0 #Runoff #Platformer #platformer #water #awesome #earth #SaveTheEarth #savetheearth #Savetheearth #ThereIsNoPlanetB #GreenFuture #EarthDayEveryDay
