Before the game, Mario entered the world of Hyrule and absorbed the malice of Calamity Ganon. Then, an altered Botw took place to stop ¨Calamity Mario¨. After that, Link and Zelda fix Hyrule and even get married in the process(I am not sure about this one though). However, Calamity Ganon´s spirit core was not consumed by Mario and returned to Ganondorf´s body.
After this, Ganondorf consumed the sealed malice and sealing power of Zelda which returned Ganondorf to his gerudo form, only more powerful. Link and Zelda were then tied up to a raft and floated across a stormy ocean away from Hyrule. After that, they ended up on a tropical island far away from Hyrule(with much of their clothing missing). The final page shows the 3 major antagonists of the game.
