ah, it's that time of year again tada here it is press space to advance there aren't as many big pieces this time around, most likely because of reference sheets and animation memes, so that's why the last three months are a bit bland. They aren't mammals though (are trolls mammals?), so that's something. January: just Bones and Knox being Bones and Knox. This was during my 'marker obsession' phase. February: Alchemy stuff, I guess, Aer being Aer March: and the Alchemy stone ring icons make a triumphant return! The Aether ring is my favourite :) April: Barley and Finn, from the Heat Waves Meme :) May: a picture of Reef City. I remember how this hurt me inside /hj June: pride icon whoo July: A frame of Dusty from the Meteorite Meme :) August: Ivery and Eret - fun fact, the lineart from this comes from quite a bit earlier... :) September: Cleo...and...dangit, I thought I could keep my new Koshello characters a secret for longer >:( So the other character is Florida, the veterinarian wolfdog I mentioned last project. She and Cleo are dating :) October: and so begins the saga of the mostly unnamed humanoids that have sapped my brainpower these past few months. They hail from a planet called Primaria (but none of them call it that because globalism hasn't happened yet), which is in the Human Dimension, and I'm trying to somehow connect it to Kodu (the one with the werewolves). It's supposed to be like a fantasy parallel to medieval Afro-Eurasia. I'm not adding these characters to the list yet, because I have a lot of research to do, and let's not even get into the plot yet. I'm running two ideas in my mind and they both have their ups and downs. As I mentioned before, a lot of these characters don't even have names. Speaking of characters, because I believe I've gotten a little bit off-topic, these are some kids. The first one is a fairy. Fairies are pretty universal in terms of mythical creatures, so I played around with the concept, and Primaria's fairies are insectoid :D so these fairies get their wings via metamorphosis, and unfortunately this particular fairy ended up without wings. Her name will begin with 'F'. The next character is a half-human, half-Hadra. Mihadra are an original(?) species/civilisation based on Naga (semi-divine cobra-human hybrids from Hindu mythology) and your run-of-the-mill snakefolk. The fact that this is really possible is the same excuse I use for Shadow-Cat/Dragon-Cat hybrids on Cerritulus: magic. This kid actually has a name, their name is Haroka. It roughly translates to 'ash-grey' (the actual word for 'ash grey' is 'harox') in Hadrax, a work-in-progress language for them that I made. He often poses as a human called Ash using a magic crystal they got from a kind old lady. The last character is a human, and she has a cool sword. I have no idea what to call her. November: a satyr and a troll and they're best friends :D December: this kid is the one that started it all really. I like her. She's dumb and angry (although she doesn't look it in this image) and will not hesitate to break your kneecaps. The middle-aged guy is her dad. He doesn't have a proper name, but I like to call him 'mid-life crisis' because that's what he's having. Half of his face is turned to stone. He's also a revamped version of 'funny rainbow eye man' from https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/432232267/ (slide 11). The last character is a Hadra. His name is Raxaravo, which roughly translates to 'honest' (the actual word for 'honest' is 'raxarax' in Hadrax. 'Mid-life crisis' calls him 'Raxy' :) he's a linguist, and knows lots of languages :) *breathes*
