A dull ginger covers the majority of his pelt; however, the darker, swirled stripes a classic tabby like himself is famous for and cream accents also are illustrated across his short hair. His tail is long and muscular with a puff of spiky cream fur at the end. The cat has always thought of himself as somewhat better than everyone else and lives every day trying to prove it. He says that he cares little about what others think, but such is a lie. Deep down, he's incredibly self-conscious and is always trying to improve others’ opinions of him. Although cantankerous, he has a guilty conscience, and if he seemingly upsets another cat, he will attempt to make it up to them. Unless, of course, he thinks the other cat deserves it. His moral compass is a bit lacking, however, and the line between right and wrong is often blurred by his petty reasoning. Nonetheless, he fails to notice his fabrication of morality and genuinely believes he is always doing the right thing. Russetcrown is always confident in his decisions and seldom second-guesses himself. He refuses to apologize for who is and quite frankly despises anyone who wants him to change. The warrior views change in itself cynically as, in his mind, there is nothing worth changing. Everything that has happened cannot be reformed. Similarly, nothing can be done to alter fate. It is best to leave things as they are; that way they'll remain the way they were meant to be. This philosophy means that Russetcrown rarely dwells on the past. Having been named after his uncle, he detests all forms of legacy naming. Furthermore, he's not one to hold grudges and is willing to forgive a cat once they prove they aren't as awful as he originally thought of them to be. The wish to not be affiliated with the past is one he understands, and he is disposed to fulfill such a pleading. Russetcrown, however, has never been much of an empath, and the burden of the past is one of the few things he can empathize with. He finds it rather difficult to sympathize with others' experiences that are different from his own and is often left dazed and confused by others' emotions. The tom understands that not everyone may feel the same about things as he does, but at the same time, different perspectives always seem a bit ridiculous to him as they stray so far from the correct outlook--his. He doesn't think this in a narcissistic manner persay; he just simply naturally assumes that he's right in all situations. Because of these presumptions, wrong incessantly appalls Russetcrown. Mistakes disgust him, and he, without fail, covers these inaccuracies as hastily as he makes them. He tells himself it was not truly a blunder and other lies. Yet at the back of his mind toils guilt. This makes hunting a difficult task. Russetcrown is abysmal at hunting and can't seem to do anything without making some sort of mistake. He's extremely ungainly and clumsy and more often than not misses his quarry—for which he feels ashamed. The tom feels an insatiable need to prove himself better than everyone else at hunting to make up for moons of failure. He does not necessarily feel this way because he is not contributing to the clan, but rather because of his pride.
