AmazingScratchCoder is typing... 2021-12-27: Sit back and relax Disclaimer: I know that what czerny did isn’t considered copyrighting, it’s a joke Credits to papipupepappa for pen designs Btw sorry for the recording quality, I was sort of doing this desperately in inconvenient circumstances cos it was already postponed (the only early recording was the debussy which I somehow found in the middle of my downloads). Consider it lofi. Also, as to the errors in the performance, I won't shy away from them... they're quite difficult pieces and I'm no where close to a 100% accurate performance. BUT, I will say that even top pianists make mistakes and *industry secret* use autotune afterwards. I feel a lot like twosetviolin today lol Ok, so the title was not clickbait. I was too lazy to code this, so I'll explain here. The thing with composers is that so many are such fans of previous ones that they often use passages from them and apply chord progressions, etc. Czerny, who learned Bach from his father when young, and from Liszt, the Paganini of Piano (TwosSet Violin reference) was quite the fan... He even made his own edition of Bach's Well Tempered Clavier. Alright, I'll get to the point. Two months ago, more or less, I was playing Etude 20 of Czerny's Opus 299 (Now I'm at 32, which will probably be the last since my hands can't play octaves at such intensity), while at the same time, practicing the Prelude I played in the project. Go search for yourself the Etude, but at the very start, the passage is an exact transposition of that ending part in the Prelude. That week's lesson, I went up to my piano teacher and asked him: You don't think Czerny copied Bach? He gave a chuckle and explained what I just did for you. Don't take the thumbnail seriously, Czerny is amazing. Make sure to accent the star and legato the follow button ;) (Thanks again, TwoSet) #music #art
